Even though my foot hurts, I’m going for a run today. I’m sick of this injury (6 months off now) stopping me from doing that which always inspires me. Reading the verses I have highlighted in the book of Isaiah always inspires me too. There are so many references to God doing something new in the face of what seems impossible, and I get excited over that prospect. Then, tonight, I’m taking my 13-year-old son shopping for clothes. He hates clothes shopping, but we love hanging out together. All of these things inspire me in unique ways, and they help to break up the mundane in my life. Other things like vacations (coming in 2 weeks), reading a different book (going to read Dracula), and writing with pen and paper (instead of typing) all help to break the routine. Wish I was more daring, but hey, these work for me!
